The Crumpet Tea Room + Restaurant is a local tradition that has spanned over 30 years in Bentonville! The Preacher’s Son ($$$)
In case the name doesn’t give it away, The Preacher’s Son is a restaurant that was actually built in the building of a restored, historic church! Start your meal with a sharable dish like ricotta mushrooms or eggplant hushpuppies before digging into the braised lamb pasta! The best part? The house chef made sure the entire menu is gluten free so diners with gluten allergies don’t have to worry about what to order!

The pillars of Markham + Fitz Chocolate are “source, craft and create” because they pride themselves on ensuring quality in their chocolate from start to finish. However, though they definitely make a good chocolate bar, they also take their love of concocting sweets a step further by creating a variety of chocolate desserts + drinks, like a peppermint drinking chocolate! Spark Cafe soda fountain ($)
Full of a rich + sweet history, the Spark Cafe Soda Fountain is actually a sweet shop inside the Walmart Museum! You’ll get subtle speakeasy vibes at this cocktail lounge located underneath The Preacher’s Son. Though this brewery isn’t technically located in Bentonville (yet; stay tuned!), Bentonville Brewing Company creates craft brews that they’re sure will appear to everyone, no matter their taste. Many of their beers are plain + simple and that’s what makes them so good! Depending on when you visit, there are different seasonal brews you can try as well, like the Red Headed Stranger Irish Red Ale appropriately in March + April.
