Serving up artisanal twists on classic American-fare, this quirky and uniquely-decorated breakfast spot will delight your taste buds and get you ready for a full-day of Minneapolis adventuring! Their star items? Biscuits and gravy, caramel pecan rolls and the pumpkin buckwheat waffles. Beware, it can get pretty busy in the morning, but it is well worth the wait.

Revival ($$)

Classic southern food and, of course, fried chicken is the main element in this hip lunch spot right near downtown Minneapolis, right up the road from Blackbird! They even have a crispy jerk cauliflower meal for all the vegetarians out there. But their speciality is their chicken, so if you’re a meat-eater, don’t miss their chicken and waffle sandwich served with a sunny-side up egg right on top of the whole thing (see the photo to the right. Warning: may induce salivation).

An underground restaurant in the heart of downtown Minneapolis serving food all day? That’s exactly what Hell’s Kitchen is! It may sound odd, but the best things in life are unique! You won’t find these recipe combinations anywhere else. After a day in the city, if you want to top it off with a more upscale dining experience, this is a great place to be.
