What is Pack Up + Go:

A Travel Agency… with a twist

Pack Up + Go revolutionizes domestic travel by using the element of surprise to heighten how American travelers perceive and experience their country. We plan 3-day vacations around the United States, but our travelers don’t find out their destination until the day they depart.

Who Are We:

We are a team of dreamers + explorers. We love to travel so much that we don’t even have to be on the vacation to enjoy it. We wake up every day with the sole intention to provide a great experience for our travelers, showcase the amazing cities + small businesses of the United States, and build our community of adventurers.

Who Are We Looking For:

We are looking for applicants who are eager to make an impact on our small team. There will be no coffee fetching or sitting around, Pack Up + Go interns are an integral part of our company and the work we do. Attention to detail and flexibility will be paramount! We’re looking for applicants who are creative, efficient, and empathetic self-starters to work with us in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Pack Up + Go is seeking rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students that are as passionate about travel as we are. Candidates should be prepared to commit 15-20 hours of work per week (preferably 3-4 hours daily Monday-Friday), and they must be available to work in our Pittsburgh office. The start date for these roles is in late January 2020 and will last 14 weeks.

spring 2020 internships

Customer Experience Intern:

Work with our Customer Experience Manager (CXM) and get hands-on experience within the hospitality industry. The CX intern will help steward customers through a high-quality experience and will also assist in resolving any problems that arise. They will report directly to the Customer Experience Manager and offer assistance in a number of ways relating to the Pack Up + Go experience!

Travel Operations Intern:

Interested in understanding the inner workings of Pack Up + Go? Love operations and getting involved with company production? Work with our Travel Operations Team to help complete the imperative tasks that help our travelers experience their amazing surprise vacations! The Travel Operations Intern will be vital in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the business run smoothly. They will report directly to the Travel Operations Coordinator and offer assistance in a number of ways relating to our trips.

Social Media + Marketing Intern:

Work with our Director of Marketing to help create + curate content for our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter audiences. We have an active, growing online community and we are can’t wait to hear your ideas to integrate into our existing social strategy. Utilize your analytic side while you assist in the evaluation and optimization of social media accounts. Practice your writing chops and craft posts for our blog + newsletter which reaches an audience of above 100K! If you have graphic design experience that is an added bonus.

City Research Intern:

Work with our Customer Experience Manager to keep the Pack Up + Go content fresh and current in order to provide better information to our travelers. Indulge your wanderlust as you help us research and plan recommendations for our travelers in cities all around the USA. This position will use your critical thinking skills, creativity, and enthusiasm to provide information on special events + specific interests in our destinations.

 

 

These roles are based in Pittsburgh, PA.
