California Strawberry Festival

Where: Oxnard, CA

What: Join over 60,000 people as they come together to celebrate the production of about one-fourth of California’s strawberries. While you’re there be sure to enjoy flavorful food, arts + crafts, cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs and many more strawberry-inspired activities!

Mike the Headless Chicken Festival

Where: Fruita, CO

What: Based on the true story of the headless chicken that lived, this festival is in its 21st year of honoring the famous chicken Mike. Participate in the fun by signing up for the 5k run, entering the disc golf tournament, eating your way to a victory in the wing and peep eating contests, or just hanging out with locals and appreciating the live music, delicious food + artisan booths!

Memphis World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest

Where: Memphis, TN

What: Make your way to the banks of the Mississippi River for this four-day barbecue cooking competition! Help name the World Champion by judging the food of 250+ domestic and international teams who travel to compete for the title.

Skagit Tulip Festival

Where: Coastal Washington

What: Witness Spring in full bloom at the colorful fields of tulips scattered throughout the Skagit Valley. Once you’ve stopped and smelled the flowers, check out the two signature events that have grown in popularity alongside the festival: the Downtown Mount Vernon Street Fair and the Kiwanis Salmon Barbecue.

Portland Rose Festival

Where: Portland, OR

What: More than just your average flower festival, the Portland Rose Festival Main event on June 8,  features dozens of events, parades + fairs that highlight the diversity of the city! Although this festival lasts for over two weeks, don’t miss the Grand Floral Parade which takes place on June 8th.

Daffodil Festival

Where: Nantucket, MA

What: Welcome the warmer weather of spring with this seaport town’s seasonal celebration! Take part in the community tailgate picnic and the Daffy Hat Contest, or appreciate the community through the antique car parade + art shows. Arrive early to The Nantucket Daffodil Flower Show in order to get a seat - this main event draws in more than 60,000 visitors!

Inman Park Festival + Tour of Homes

Where: Atlanta, GA

What: Spend the last weekend in April touring the beautiful homes of a downtown-Atlanta district. Inman Park offers three days full of relaxing music, fun activities for the kids + over 250 booths at the artists’ market!

Spring Pilgrimage

Where: Natchez, MS

What: Once a year, more than 600 of the privately owned homes in Natchez open their doors and invite the public inside. Seen as the epitome of southern hospitality, the Spring Pilgrimage showcases the neoclassical architecture and serves as a “living museum” for the history of the South.

Crawfish Music Festival

Spoleto Festival USA

Where: Charleston, SC

What: As spring rounds the corner, the Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston's theaters, churches + outdoors with music! Mammoth Pond Skim

Where: Mammoth Lakes, CA

What: Do you ever wonder what happens when the frozen weather of the winter meets the warm sunshine of the spring? The Mammoth Pond Skim has provided an annual answer to that question at the end of every ski-season. Prepare for laughs as skiers + snowboarders put on crazy costumes and attempt to skim across a 110-foot unfrozen pond!

Alabama Jubilee

Where: Decatur, AL

What: Although this southern city’s temperatures usually don’t drop below 50 degrees, the Alabama Jubilee welcomes the warmer weather with a sky full of hot air balloons. This festival is packed with excitement throughout both days - catch a balloon race in the morning, witness the glow of the balloons at twilight, or try a free tethered ride with one of the pilots! Texas Sandfest

Where: Port Aransas, TX

What: Professional sculptors and sand enthusiasts alike are invited to the largest Native-Sand Sculpture Competition in the USA! This 3-day event is family friendly and features creations made from sand, local food + arts vendors, and live music.

Columbia International Festival

Where: Columbia, SC
