Testimonial Tuesday: Leorah + Allison

Q: Why did you sign up for your trip? What were you looking to get out of it?

A: My bestie + I take a trip every year for our birthdays and we thought this was a cool idea. We wanted an adventure!

Q: Did you have hesitations about taking a surprise trip? Were you nervous?

A: I think we were mostly just excited. Although we were occasionally a little worried that we would get sent somewhere lame because we could only do the lowest budget option.

Q: Where did you guess you were going to travel? Were you surprised by the destination?

A: We guessed a few places, based on the weather report. Actually, several of our friends guessed our destination correctly, too, so we weren’t SUPER surprised about it, but definitely excited for the unveiling.

Q: Upon discovery of your destination, what were some perceptions about your city prior to the trip?

A: We were excited. One of us had been before as a kid, but we knew that it had a reputation for being a pretty hip city.

Q: What made the trip feel unique and tailored to you?

A: Our PU+G agent was so nice. She really tailored everything to us very well and communicated with us a lot. Plus, we were traveling for both our birthdays and we got some wonderful surprises - like champagne from the hotel + a gift card to a nearby wine bar.

Q: What did you like most about your travel accommodations?

A: Our hotel was great. I love that the Kimpton hotels have a happy hour in the evenings in the lobby, and I thought this particular hotel was really cool and funky. Plus, it was located almost downtown, so we walked almost everywhere.

Q: What was your favorite experience that we recommended for you?

A: Loved the foodie tour of Pike Place Market!! It was so fun to try all the different foods and hear about the history of everything.

Q: If you could do the trip over again what would you do differently?

A: When we found out where we were going I texted some friends who lived there. We got brunch which was great and also ended up getting together at night. I think with such a sort trip it’s hard to do everything, so if we did it again I’d probably stick to one non-itinerary meal.

Q: What was your favorite part of your trip?

A: I think the Chihuly Glass Museum + the Pike Place Market foodie tour were my favorite parts. But traveling with my bestie is always fun, especially when so much of the trip is celebrating and drinking wine!

Q: What did you learn on your trip, or from your trip?

A: Seattle is a lot like Denver!

Q: How would you describe Pack Up + Go and your experience to your Family and Friends?

A: It was a great way to do a short, domestic adventure. It a totally new way to travel for me, since I’m usually the planner for trips.

Q: What would you say to someone who is hesitant to go on a surprise getaway?

A: They’ll take care of you. It’s totally worth it!
