Today in 1904, Salvador Dalí was born!
Fans of his artwork should visit The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL which has the largest collection of Dalí’s works outside Europe!
Molly + Clarice enjoyed “Fantaisies Diurnes” on their trip to the Sunshine State!
A: We were looking for a 3-day getaway where we didn’t have to do any of the planning! We both travel for work + to see our families, so we wanted a weekend away where we didn’t have to worry about the planning! With our 1 year wedding anniversary coming up, we thought this would be the perfect “paper” gift!
A: Having a Type A personality, and doing so much planning I was anxious about the trip. It was a good learning experience for me to let it go and know that someone else could handle everything for me. Lillian + her team did a fantastic job with communication and updates so I was not worried. It was just hard to not be in control ;)
A: We guesses the southeast area of the country. We were totally surprised to hear we were going to San Francisco!! (Although a co-worker of my guessed right). Neither of us had been to California so we were very excited!
A: Having the maps + recommended agenda/itinerary available in paper and electronic forms was great!! Having it on paper allowed us to learn a bit about the city while flying. Having it all electronically allowed us to check things while we were exploring!
A: My husband is a big tea drinker so he LOVED the Japanese Tea garden. I very much enjoyed it as well. My favorite was the Golden Gate Bridge and Painted Ladies. We actually took a boat tour around the bridge + Alcatraz which was fantastic! We try to do boat tours when we visit new cities.
A: Centrally located! We could walk almost anywhere. And when we were tired of walking, Lyft + Uber were available to help us out.
A: Corny as it is, I was dying to see the “Full House” House. We found it, took a few pics + helped other tourists do the same!! From there, we walked to Lombard Street, which was quite a bit harder than it looked, but totally worth it!
A: The whole experience!! From the suspense of not knowing where we were going, to having travel + lodging taken care of, to fantastic food and sites. We saw SO MUCH in our short amount of time in San Francisco. With the maps and suggestions provided, we were able to plan a jammed pack trip while still finding time to relax and take it in. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. In our vows we promised “to go on adventures with one another” and when we heard of Pack Up + Go we thought this would be the PERFECT way to do that!
A: Make dinner reservations at restaurants.
A: I have described it to our families, friends, and co-workers as a must try experience! It is a lot to process, especially if you are controlling, but well worth the experience!! The thrill alone is incredible! And then the ease of navigating makes it simple to jump right in and explore.
A: That we want to continue to explore other cities!
A: Give it a try! Well worth the investment + adventure. You will have memories that will last a lifetime!
Your Monday Motivation comes from Kody + Lindsey who showed how fun having many different interests can be!

What is your favorite activity to seek out in a new place?
We love eating unique foods, going to Vintage shops + stopping in art museums! 🍽️👒🏛️
A: To take stress off of my plate! A nice, relaxing, romantic weekend.
A: Yes, I think mainly because I like to know what’s going on + I am such a planner!
A: I actually guessed Chicago or Seattle so I was thrilled when we opened and saw it said Chicago.
A: I really didn’t know too much aside from the comedy scene!
A: We had asked for somewhere with comedy and live music - Chicago was perfect. They also made sure we had a fun activity for my birthday!
A: Holy wow, the hotel was the best we’ve ever stayed in + now we’re Kimpton reward members. We were blown away!
A: We loved all the recommendations but, specifically, Buddy Guy’s for live blues. We actually got to meet him + I danced with him as they sang happy birthday. It was a magical night!
A: I wouldn’t stress at all pre-trip because now I know we’re in good hands.
A: I feel like you guys nailed it with the itinerary but, I’d say just telling people to branch out from downtown is important. Downtown is great but, it’s a little expensive and we had some really great meals + experiences when we went out further into the city!
A: Everything, it was honestly the best trip we’ve ever been on together.
A: We’ve told everyone we know how incredible it was to experience a destination that we might not have picked for ourselves + ended up having the time of our lives!
A: That Pack Up + Go is the best way to take a few days off from being in charge.
A: Just do it. Don’t think about the ‘what ifs’ - Pack Up + Go is there for you to answer your questions but, they will handle everything for you!
A: It was an anniversary gift to me from my boyfriend. We were looking to take a trip just for ourselves that didn’t involve traveling to see family or weddings.
A: I was very nervous. Being Type A, it’s hard to relinquish control, but it was also freeing not having to plan anything.
A: We thought we for sure were going to the East Coast. I thought Philly + Dan thought Boston. We were both shocked but in a very good way. :)
A: I don’t think we had any prior conceptions before our arrival.
A: We were on our own schedule. We could do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted to do it. Also, the suggestions felt catered to us by the fact that we love live music and specialty cocktails and there were great recommendations that we took advantage of in finding those two things in New Orleans.
A: The location in the city and the grandiose of the hotel.
A: The WWII museum and the Lafayette Cemetery were our favorite activities. Also riding the streetcar on St. Charles.
A: We would have left earlier on Friday and earlier on Sunday.
A: We had dinner at two great spots: one was Amelie cafe in the French Quarter. It’s great farm-to-table with an amazing patio tucked back off of bourbon st. Also, Superior Seafood along St. Charles was delicious!
A: Being with each other and on our own schedule.
A: Letting go of the planning process was a challenge but it worked out for the best! Every second of a trip doesn’t need to be planned before arrival for it to be memorable.
A: Do it! The customer service is outstanding and they work so closely with you to ensure a proper fit for location and budget.
Chicago is beautiful in Autumn as evidenced by these gorgeous fall photos from Brittany + Michael’s seasonal visit to the Windy City and check out more on our blog!
“The Bean” is a famous landmark, but the sculpture’s actual name is Cloud Gate - a liquid mercury inspired, seamless structure created by artist Sir Anish Kapoor.

A: We signed up for Pack Up + Go because we wanted to try something new. My husband works overnights and I work regular business hours, and on top of that, we just bought a house, so our lives have been pretty crazy lately. We wanted a fun and exciting trip that would allow us to recharge and explore.
A: I wasn’t nervous, only excited! We’re a pretty adventurous pair and knew the Pack Up + Go team wouldn’t let us down.
A: I knew it would be Chicago all along, don’t ask me how, but it was my bet from the beginning. Chris thought Boston or Nashville. We were both ecstatically surprised about Chicago because it was on both of our bucket lists.
A: I thought it would be really busy, very similar to NYC. I was excited about the ease of the public transportation system. As a New York pizza snob, I definitely did not think I would like deep dish pizza (I was wrong).
A: Each of the items we checked off on the interest survey were addressed with great recommendations. Chicago was the exact type of city we were hoping to be sent so it seemed that all our preferences were taken into consideration.
A: The hotel was super trendy (definitely Instagram worthy), the coffee shop in the lobby had the best vanilla latte I’ve ever had, and the Broken Shaker cocktail bar was right up our alley.
A: It’s a toss up between Wildberry, The Field Museum of Natural History, and Three Dots and a Dash. So many good recommendations.
A: Stay longer? ;-) There really isn’t anything we would do differently. It was the experience of a lifetime.
A: We stumbled upon Ironside Bar and Galley on North Wells St., which had great drinks, cool atmosphere, and fun bartenders.
A: Walking the 2 miles from the hotel to The Field Museum and taking all Chicago had to offer. We stopped for coffee, breakfast, shopping, and just general sightseeing.
A: I learned to relax and allow someone else to do the logistical planning, which is not easy for me. I also learned that sometimes the most fun comes from just wandering where ever the sidewalks may take you and stumbling upon the best experiences (and food and drinks).
A: It is probably one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had! I would recommend everyone book a trip with Pack Up + Go!
A: It’s a little bit crazy, but you choose your travel dates and your budget and answer a questionnaire, and someone else gets to pick where you end up! It ended up being just the perfect get-away that we needed to relax and recharge.
