Craftsman and Wolves ($$)

Craftsman and Wolves is a modern cafe in San Francisco that you definitely want to check out if you are looking for a delicious + quick breakfast! They offer a variety of baked goods and breakfast items to choose from but if you are looking for a one-of-a-kind breakfast try the rebel within! This savory muffin has Asiago, sausage, and green onions inside. If you cut it in half you will also find a soft cooked egg in the center! YUM.

A more rustic venue to enjoy a delicious breakfast is Kitchen Story! Their menu is full of breakfast comfort foods like stuffed deep fried french toast that you aren’t going to want to miss. They do get busy so you are going to want to try to arrive early if you are trying to avoid the wait! If you love bacon you are going to want to be sure to try their bacon flight as well.

Sweet Maple

Sweet Maple is a laid-back + unpretentious restaurant that serves some of the best breakfast in San Francisco! With a menu full of breakfast classics with a bit of an Asian twist you will find innovative versions of all of your breakfast favorites that you are bound to enjoy!

If you are craving comfort foods like chicken + waffles or pancakes, Cracked and Battered is the place for you! With sweet + savory options there are tons of things on the menu for you to enjoy! Another local favorite, you are going to want to arrive early to avoid a wait!

Vive La Tarte

If you want coffee + a treat to go with it, head over to Vive La Tarte! They are off the beaten path compared to some other San Francisco cafes so it can be a quiet place to sit and relax for a while. Reveille Coffee Co.’s modern venue makes for a beautiful and aesthetic place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee when you need mid-morning pick me up. With a lot of drink options + a decent sized breakfast menu you are going to want to stay the entire day!

Lady Luck Cafe

If you love tea you are going to want to make a stop! Located in San Francisco’s Chinatown, there will be plenty of other things for you to explore while you are in the neighborhood! Their menu is packed full with just about every kind of boba tea that you can imagine so regardless of what your preferences are, you will find something to drink at Lady Luck Cafe!

The Bird ($)

The Bird is the ultimate sandwich shop for anyone who loves fried chicken! The chicken used in their sandwich is always free-range + served on a fresh baked bun made by a local baker every morning! The chicken is coated in their berbere spice blend (it can be done either classic style or spicy depending on your mood) and topped with a house-made apple slaw that is made fresh daily!

Lou’s Cafe ($$)

For a casual mid-afternoon lunch, be sure to stop by Lou’s Cafe! Their menu has a variety of different sandwiches + salads to choose from like the Chicken Pesto, Turkey Cranberry, or Veggie-licious sandwiches! With delicious breads on all of their sandwiches, you don’t have to worry about the bread getting soggy while you enjoy your sandwich.

Hook Fish has a menu that features carefully + thoughtfully sourced seafood. They are prepared to tell you the story of the seafood that is in their kitchen, even going into as much detail as who it was that caught the fish! Whether you want seafood, tacos, or both you can find it on the menu at Hook Fish.

Square Pie Guys

When you are in the mood for some pizza go over to Square Pie Guys! They serve Detroit-style pizza with a variety of unique flavor combinations in addition to the classics! In the mood for some wings? Try their Szechuan dry fried wings with the house-made cilantro lime crema! If you still have room for dessert, be sure to try the monkey bread baked using homemade pizza dough.

State Bird Provisions ($$$)

State Bird Provisions is a unique tapas bar with food served dim sum style. Curious about the most famous dish at state bird provisions? As the name suggests it’s the California state bird with provisions - or fried quail. No matter what else you get while you are there you are going to want to try it! State Bird Provisions is a very popular dinner spot in San Francisco so you are going to want to arrive at opening time or make reservations.

Saison ($$$$)

At Saison all the cooking is done over an open wood fire that is lit at the beginning of the day + allowed to burn until closing time. They work with a select group of farmers, forgers, and fishermen to source their ingredients + it can be pricey but if you are looking for a nice date-night spot it is definitely worth the money.

Mourad Restaurant ($$$)

Mourad serves Moroccan food in a venue modeled after a Moroccan mansion. Meals are served family style using fresh, local ingredients to blend the flavors of Morocco with those of Northern California. They also have a large drinks menu including a selection of creative house-cocktails.

All their sweet treats are made in-house, so try a sundae, milkshake, ice cream sandwich, or a scoop or two of your favorite flavor soon!

Dating back to the 1800s, Anchor Brewing Company has been a staple for beer-lovers in Northern California for over a century. Stop in to try one of their beers or take a tour to learn more about the interesting history of this brewery + the brewing process!
