The Story:

The city’s historic 1926 Financial Center Building on the corner of Montgomery + California opened as the luxurious Omni Hotel in downtown San Francisco in February 2002. Making a unique commitment to San Francisco and its esteemed history, Omni Hotels + Resorts embarked on a restoration project that transformed the 17-story famous office building into a 362-room luxury hotel.

Style:

Upscale boutique hotel honoring its historic roots with old-world style with a classic, traditional décor and a strong residential ambiance. To recreate the 1920s atmosphere, all guest rooms feature high ceilings with crown molding and mahogany and cherry wood furniture. Guest bathrooms include Chinese granite vanities accented with Italian marble floors and walls. 

The lobby is adorned with Italian marble, rich fabrics and Austrian crystal chandeliers creating a grand entrance for any traveler.

Location:

Located in the heart of the City in the Financial District which is a short walk to top attractions, restaurants, shopping, and the distinctive neighborhoods. The hotel is also located right on the iconic cable car line where California + Montgomery Streets meet.

Attractions Nearby:

Located just steps from North Beach + China Town. Want to stretch your legs? Head out to the Ferry Building, Union Square, and Pier 39. Some great restaurants around the corner are Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern, China Town's R&G Lounge, and the great restaurants lining Belden Place which is dubbed the French Quarter of San Francisco.

Flying to town? They are 14 miles from SFO and 18 miles from OAK.

  • “We have curate our own honey and olives. Located on our roof we have have bee hives and olive trees. We are constantly trying creative ways to incorporate the honey and olives into our menu items in the restaurant.”

  • “The Omni San Francisco blends into the surrounding area as it used to be a bank. We have renovated the inside to become a hotel but we kept the historic look of the bank as its exterior.”

“There are plenty of amazing restaurants in SF but I enjoy going to one of the restaurants on Belden Place. They have outdoor seating with heat lamps and reminds me of some of the restaurants in Barcelona. Plouf and Toy Soldier are favorites.”
